Save Me is the story of Patrick, an unconventional relationship expert hired by Anna to stage a fake robbery in the hopes of getting her detached boyfriend, Joseph, to heroically save her and reignite their faltering passion. Things don’t go according to plan when Joseph acts nonplussed and Patrick finds himself falling for his latest client.

SUMMARY

Patrick, an unconventional relationship expert, meets Anna, a woman desperate to save her faltering relationship. Patrick describes his method of fixing relationships when something ‘is just a little off’: he dresses up like a burglar, breaks into their house, pretends to hold them hostage, and waits for their significant other to save them from danger. Patrick makes the claim that his technique works so well that ‘most of my break-ins end in weddings.’ Out of options, Anna decides to hire Patrick to give a jolt to relationship between her and Joseph, her blasé live-in boyfriend. Patrick arrives at the apartment and the tension between them gives way to a connection. Joseph wanders into the living room to find the two deep in conversation over a plate of, what Joseph deems to be, expensive hummus. Joseph acts more concerned as to the cost of the hummus than any apparent danger to his girlfriend. Frustrated at his unemotional response, Patrick storms out of the apartment claiming that Joseph’s response ‘has never happened before.’ Anna runs after Patrick and, after equivocating on his reasons for storming out, Patrick reveals that he has feelings for Anna. As she watches him walk away, Anna realizes that those feelings may be shared.
